Driver's Airbag Inflator recall
A potential concern may exist with the driver’s airbag inflator in your vehicle and a Product Safety Recall will be conducted.
In some vehicles, the driver’s front airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure upon deployment in the event of an accident. If this happens, metal fragments could possibly shoot out, straight through the airbag cushion material towards the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or fatality.
The customer is requested to make an appointment with their nearest Honda Dealer to have this recall actioned. As a precautionary measure, the Dealer will replace the driver front airbag inflator free of charge.

Rear Child Restraint Anchorage Missing
Honda Motor Company has deteremined that the rear centre child restraint anchorage point may not have been installed during the manufacturing process.
If the child restraint anchorage point was not installed, a child restraint cannot be used in the centre seating position.
The customer is requested to make an appointment with their nearest Honda Dealer to have this recall actioned. The Honda Dealer will inspect your vehicle and install a restraint anchorage if necessary free of charge.
Takata airbag inflator: As it gets older, a combination of high temperatures and humidity can cause the airbag inflator propellant to degrade. If an affected vehicle is involved in a collision triggering the airbag, the metal inflator housing may explode/rupture under too much internal pressure.
In the event that a defective airbag inflator ruptures, metal fragments may propel out through the airbag cushion towards the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or fatality.
If owners of affected Honda City MY2009-2012, CR-V MY2007-2011, Jazz MY2005-2013 and Insight MY2011 are advised their vehicle is under 'critical recall’, it is recommended that you stop driving the vehicle and immediately arrange for airbag inflator replacement as the vehicle has a heightened risk of causing injury or death. The critical recall category applies to alpha airbags and also includes other airbags specified by Honda.
Honda will offer to arrange for your vehicle to either be towed to the place of replacement or for a mobile technician to be sent to the vehicle (or some similar arrangement), so that you do not have to drive the vehicle in order to receive a replacement airbag inflator.
Owners of affected vehicles should contact their preferred Honda dealership, Honda via the website www.honda.com.au/recall or call 1800 957 444 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am-6pm AEST) to arrange for a replacement airbag inflator free of charge. You are also entitled to request special arrangements where the circumstances reasonably warrant this or where you will be deprived of your vehicle for more than 24 hours, such as a loan or hire car or reimbursement for alternative transportation costs.
Consumers who are unsure whether they are affected can also use Honda’s VIN look-up tool at www.honda.com.au/recall, contact Honda on 1800 957 444 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am-6pm AEST) or contact their preferred Honda dealer.
